Hugh Jackman Weighs in on Martha Stewart's Comments About Ryan Reynolds: 'Finally Someone Says It'

Hugh Jackman is on Martha Stewart’s side.

The actor, 56, weighed in on the playful spat between his longtime friend Ryan Reynolds and the lifestyle guru, 83, after she appeared as a special guest on Bilt Rewards in November Rent for free game and said Reynolds, 48, “isn’t that funny in real life.”

Reynolds later responded with a comment on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “I wouldn’t agree with her. But I tried it once. The woman is unexpectedly lively. Really closed the gap after a mile or so.”

Shortly thereafter, Jackman, who recently starred with Reynolds in Deadpool & Wolverineoffered his opinion on the situation, responding to Reynolds’ comment and agreeing with Stewart, writing, “Finally someone says it.”

Reynolds and Jackman have been in a playful feud for years.

In a 2020 interview with The Daily Beast, Jackman said he believed Scarlett Johansson started the prank, given that she was married to Reynolds from 2008 to 2011. (The star is now married to Blake Lively.)

“I used to poke him because I was really close friends with Scarlett, and Scarlett had just married Ryan, so when he came on set, I said, ‘Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, mate, because I watching by myself,’ and so we started joking around,” Jackman said.
