After Skaar’s surprise introduction She-Hulk: LawyerNew concept art for Disney+ show revealing approximate ages of characters. The latest MCU show to be released on Disney+, followed by Moonlight Knight And Miss Marvel, She-Hulk: Lawyer chronicles the life of attorney Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) as she tries to balance her career with her new-found ability to transform into the Hulk. In addition to appearances in Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Tim Roth’s Abomination and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, the show’s finale also unexpectedly introduces Hulk’s son, Skaar (Wil Deusner).
Now, a new piece of concept art She-Hulk: Lawyer Photos from artist Constantine Sekeris on Instagram reveal more details about Hulk’s teenage son. Not only does the concept art show an early version of Skaar, but Sekeris’ notes also reveal that the character is about 17 or 18 years old and hints at some of the character’s past on the planet Sakaar. How can Scarl be a teenager?
Sekeris revealed that Skaar is around 18 years old, which may raise some questions for some fans about the MCU timeline, but there’s a very clear explanation. Planet Sakaar is located in She-Hulk: Lawyer But MCU fans got to see the planet in Taika Waititi’s live-action film Thor: RagnarokSakaar is basically a junk planet overseen by Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster, with wormholes landing on it, space junk, and sometimes different species. Importantly, the passage of time on Sakaar is different from that on Earth, which explains why Skaar is so archaic in the MCU.
This storyline by Skaar also fits well with the character’s role in the Marvel comics, and Sekeris’ title even offers some interesting details as to why he was designed the way he was. The concept art features several tattoos on Skaar’s face, which Sekeris revealed is a nod to Hulk’s gladiator days Thor: Ragnarok, It can also hint at the character’s personality. When will Skaar return in the MCU?
Although there is no official word on whether Deusner’s character will return in the MCU, She-Hulk: Lawyer Contains some hints about introducing the Planet Hulk storyline, where Skaar is featured in the comics. Skaar’s age may also make it possible for him to join the Young Avengers, some of whom have already been introduced in the MCU, including Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, Dominic Thorne’s Lily Williams, and Catherine Newton’s Cathy Lang. It remains to be seen how Skaer will play out after that She-Hulk: Lawyer will open up, but the characters will obviously play a big role in the future.
