Hunter Hayes Shares Heartfelt Post After Death of His Dog Cole: ‘Thank You for Rescuing Me’

Hunter Hayes reflects on the good times he and his dog, Cole, shared after the puppy’s death.

The singer-songwriter revealed on Instagram on Monday that Cole had recently died, writing that the dog “completed his last lap around the sun on earth and retired to a better and more fitting place for such a distinguished gentleman.”

Hayes did not specify the cause of the dog’s death, but detailed the impact the furry friend had on him during their time together. Cole, who, according to the singer, got that name “after he retired from racing”, was the singer’s therapeutic companion.

“I have never met a man who taught me so much. How to be calm, how to appreciate nature and how to create peace,” he wrote alongside a carousel of pictures of himself and Cole. “I’m so grateful for all the amazing adventures we’ve had together and all the life lessons he’s taught me like no other.”
