Season 4 of I Am a Killer will premiere on Netflix on December 21, 2022, at 3 a.m. ET. The first season of the series premiered in 2018, introducing us to cold-blooded criminals on death row. They told us their story in great detail, and we learned why they did what they did.
The issue of questioning convicted murderers is contentious. When the documentary Conversations With A Murderer: The Ted Bundy Tapes or the current series about serial killer Jeffery Dahmer were released, many people were outraged and questioned whether or not these subhumans deserved to be heard.
The trailer for “I Am a Killer” shows convicted killer Gary Black and five others.
According to the teaser, Netflix has not made any modifications to the format of the program. It still requires one-on-one discussions with killers to allow them to speak freely about their experiences. However, viewers should expect a terrifying encounter based on the introduction video.
We meet an elderly guy with gray hair who seems to be in his late 60s or early 70s. Another photo showed his nametag, which said Black G. Gary Black, a cold-blooded killer convicted of stabbing Jason Johnson to death in 1998, was this elderly guy. The way he was presented was like something out of a horror film. He turned to face the camera and said:
“These guards will inform you that I am in a managed segregation unit. I had been in a one-man cell for over two years until six months ago.”
He went on:
“They have no idea what to do with me here. That’s correct. They have no idea what to do with me here. And I don’t mind.”
This was enough to give us an idea of this convicted killer’s attitude and how unremorseful he felt about his wrongdoings. He was found guilty in 1998. Black, aged 72, is incarcerated at the Potosi Correctional Center in Mineral Point, Missouri, on a life sentence. In addition to Gary Black, the trailer featured five other convicts. Because the third season of the docuseries broadcast six episodes, season four is likely to have six episodes concentrating on six convicts. Netflix has released numerous fascinating documentaries in recent years, and I am a Killer is without a doubt one of the greatest. True crime and documentary fans are in for a treat.
