‘I was conned out of thousands by villain’ Says James Bond star George Lazenby

James Bond is one of the most famous and famous person who has given us wonderful memories. The name of this character says a lot about it and now the fans are happy to see the movie on ITV. Those who don’t know will surely be surprised by the fact that this movie was a turning point for the series, as it was the first movie without Sean Connery as 007.

In his place, Bond bosses tapped George Lazenby for this film, but his tenure didn’t last long. George Lazenby played the role of James Bond in only one film before being fired by the franchise owners, forcing Sean Connery to make a triumphant return to the series for one last film. The Australian actor made the most of his time in the role of James Bond. He now shares his experience of playing the role and how he got it. The actor popularly confirmed the role of Bond by going to MGM’s London officials and requesting an audition. Although he had no acting experience, he was quite convincing in his proof that he broke another actor’s nose during a test fight.

Before becoming an actor, he was a model, but he always wanted to play the lead role. When he appeared on the set of the movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, he had a different experience. In 2010, the American actor gave an interview to a well-known media outlet in which he revealed that “they gave me thousands of dollars of spending money and it all piled up in my suitcase.” He was reportedly paid up to £1,000 a day, all of which he kept in suitcases around the film set.

But when Telly Savalas, the film’s on-screen villain, learns of the massive amount of money in circulation, he hatches a devious plan. Telly played Ernst Starv Blofek in the movie and had a great relationship with George, but things quickly got out of hand. Sevalas decided to invite George to play a game of poker with him in which he lost all of his fortune.
