“Dad!” is the first line we see. Below him is a beautiful parrot, in the center of the video frame, standing on the wooden floor. The name of the bird is Valentine.
Along with her siblings, Valentine was raised by @johandevenier, who petted them every morning as they grew up. Her siblings are older than their morning cuddle routine, but Valentine still needs a hug to get her off to a good start.
Unfortunately, her father was stuck in bed. Considering that he was injured recently, he is currently lying in bed. However, Valentine was determined to be pampered, so she decided to take the initiative to approach.
We see Valentine walking down the hallway, with a sign that says “Where’s my dad?” shown above her in the video. She went to the bedroom, where her father was still lying in bed.
“Good morning dad!” As soon as he saw him, Valentine ran away. Captured perfectly in slow motion, we see the adorable Macaw fly towards its owner, landing effortlessly on his lap.
Dad reached out to Valentina, stroking it briefly before taking it and bringing it closer to cuddle. The camera zooms in on the couple currently sniffing their faces.
Valentine seems to enjoy cuddling her father; she even let him pull her under the blanket.
These morning activities are common between dogs and their owners, but we rarely see that happen with birds and their parents. Not only is the video adorable, but it proves one thing: the bond between a parent and a pet is unbreakable, regardless of species.
