Announcing the return on Instagram, Allsopp’s Beer revealed that Double Diamond will be returning.

The September 25 post headline read: “He’s back, and still working miracles!

“After months of research and recipe testing to make it perfect, we relaunched Double Diamond.

“Revived as a light 3.8% beer that drinks like a lager, it’s a delicious, light draft session beer, soon to hit your favorite pubs.”

First made in 1876, the new and improved recipe seems to be a hit with bookies.

Many have already taken to the comments section to express their joy at the reboot.

One user commented: “Works wonders!”

Another said: “We tried it and we can say it’s amazing!! Safe to say we have it in the basement waiting for it to come back!!”

Someone else wrote: “The first beer I had the privilege of tasting in the company of my beloved grandfather, watching the game of the day is not quite the same these days.”

A fourth said, “Something to watch out for.”
