RETAILERS can’t wait to get their hands on the iconic 90s beer which is making a comeback after 30 years.
A blast from the past and one of the country’s best-loved drinks during the 1950s is “coming to your favorite pubs soon” according to the Burton-on Trent brewery.

Announcing the return on Instagram, Allsopp’s Beer revealed that Double Diamond will be returning.
The September 25 post headline read: “He’s back, and still working miracles!
“After months of research and recipe testing to make it perfect, we relaunched Double Diamond.
“Revived as a light 3.8% beer that drinks like a lager, it’s a delicious, light draft session beer, soon to hit your favorite pubs.”
First made in 1876, the new and improved recipe seems to be a hit with bookies.
Many have already taken to the comments section to express their joy at the reboot.
One user commented: “Works wonders!”
Another said: “We tried it and we can say it’s amazing!! Safe to say we have it in the basement waiting for it to come back!!”
Someone else wrote: “The first beer I had the privilege of tasting in the company of my beloved grandfather, watching the game of the day is not quite the same these days.”

The brewery has revealed that Double Diamond won’t be their only offering with other vintage beers set to appear.
Drinkers could opt for a pint of Hofmeister, Kestrel Pilsner or Watneys Party Seven cask, all of the same brand.
Those hoping to find other drinks next to the brewery can also hop over to Allsopp’s Best Bitter.
Advertised as “perfect for any occasion”, the beer has notes of wild berries, marmalade and biscuits.
