Master’s degree in energy policy and regulation
IITG’s New Programme: IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) has opened the admission portal for the first batch of students starting January 2024 and has announced the launch of its first Master’s program in “Energy Policy and Regulation” (EPR).
A good and strong regulatory framework must be created and put in place in India to address broad social issues, including distributive equity and sustainable development in light of the rapid development of the power and energy sector. Despite its critical importance during the current energy transitions, regulatory policy is still a relatively new topic in the country, and as a result, there are few highly qualified regulatory experts at all levels.
IITGN has introduced this e-Master’s degree program for working professionals who wish to enhance their knowledge in emerging fields in an effort to bridge this knowledge gap, meet skill development in line with the changing demands of the energy sector and encourage innovation.
The 2-year Energy Management program offers industry skills and expertise
This program will provide candidates with the necessary industry-focused skills and knowledge from domain experts to excel in their roles, whether working in regulatory commissions, power generation, transmission, distribution, energy trading, consumer services, renewable energy, market operations , courts, or counseling.
The flexible, executive-friendly format of the two-year program allows registered candidates to simultaneously fulfill their professional responsibilities. In addition to self-study modules for strategic learning and conversations, it will offer live interactive sessions in the evenings and weekends.
Employed professionals and students who have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, Commerce, Management, Finance, etc. can apply through the official website.
