GRACE Dent has broken her silence following her I’m a Celebrity release.
The food critic said she was ‘very sad’ about her departure after being removed from the jungle for ‘medical reasons’ – and said she is now trying to recover.

Grace’s friends and viewers were left worried as the MasterChef star began to struggle in front of the cameras, unable to muster a smile and looking glum.
She quickly returned to the UK and has now posted a picture of herself enjoying a huge three-course meal.
Grace told her followers: “Dear friends. Thank you for the outpouring of love I have received since being away on Monday.
“I am extremely sad right now, but determined to keep alive in my heart the tremendous personal discoveries I have made over the weeks.”
She went on to list her achievements, mentioning the heavy rain – which many believe may have played a role in both her and Jamie Lynn’s departure.
“I spent 15 days without a phone or any contact with loved ones, living most of the time out in the rainforest in very rainy weather,” she wrote.
“It gave me a brief, sharp glimpse into the pain that some people around the world endure. A normal life, forever, will always be beautiful.
“I had no idea until now that I could find a mental space where I could calmly slide down a skyscraper and then slide up a pole, unlocking the stars, while the cars on the street below felt the size of ants.
“I had no idea it was possible for them to show me a football helmet and inform me that I would soon be locked around the neck and full of cockroaches up to my eyebrows and think ‘OK, this is doable, the trick is to breathe.’
“As long as I live, I’ll never forget the cockroach that got into my ear canal and the sound of its little legs crawling closer and closer to my brain. It took two of us to lure it out. It was sitting on the grass behind the ‘Scaren’ finally washed off.”
Life with Nigel Farage seemed to bother her, and she continued: “The Jungle showed me how quickly I can become jaded when sleeping with hungry rats, noisy toads, moths and hunting spiders.
“It taught me that when you have to sleep close to the enemy, the trick is to stay calm, have empathy and that screaming does nothing but burn calories.”
Before entering the jungle, Grace made a joke about Nigel’s near-fatal plane crash, making it clear she wasn’t a fan of his.
Grace continued in her lengthy post: “The jungle has shown me that I’m physically stronger than I thought; I can carry lots of logs and water up a hill, build a fire and eat rabbit guts at dawn for breakfast.”
Grace concluded: “I hope I gave you all a smile. I didn’t go out like I planned or wanted to, but I did what I could, in a mermaid red gel manicure without brushing a nail.
“I didn’t cry when I took my bra off to find a family of mealworms living in a real cup. On some level, this *must* be an accomplishment.
“My plan is to recover…and when the adrenaline finally wears off, make serious plans for dinner.
“Three courses, extra potatoes, must have pudding. I think I deserved it.
“I love you all and miss my jungle crew. Miss Grace Dent xxx”
