I’M A Celebrity fans are yet to discover the ‘real reason’ Zara McDermott didn’t meet Sam Thompson on the jungle bridge.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, was crowned King of the Jungle, while boxing legend Tony Bellew came second and Nigel Farage third on Sunday.

Instead, Sam met up with his best friend Pete Wicks Credit: ITV
Zara stayed at the couple’s London home during Sam’s three-week stay in the Jungle, while his best friend Pete Wicks flew in to meet him.
The former Love Island star explained her absence from Australia was because she thought she would still be competing in Strictly Come Dancing.
She shared on Instagram earlier this month: “Pete is going. We laughed a little and joked about this topic.
“But quite seriously; Sam thought I would still be on Strictly (bless him, optimism), so Pete cleared his whole diary for 2/3 weeks to be there.”

The 26-year-old added: “I’ve also had to rush to work as soon as Strictly finishes to finish two of my documentaries before Christmas which I’m filming abroad at the moment and we’ve got training for our last Strictly number.
“So it was a bit impossible to clear everything, but Sam was so excited by the idea of Pete being there after all that he was happy to have me waiting for him at the base.”
Despite not failing, Zara threw a huge party at their home with friends and family to support Sam becoming King of the Jungle in 2023.
Zara took part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Graziano Di Primo, but was eliminated from the BBC show during Halloween week.
Sam and Pete were seen in the Strictly audience supporting Zara before her exit from the show wearing matching t-shirts emblazoned with her face.
Elsewhere it was reported that Sam had already sparked a bidding war among TV channels after conquering the country during his time in the jungle.
Last night, The Sun revealed that he will make a lot of money thanks to the show.
