I’m still skint & borrowing money from my dad after winning £95k, says Traitors winner Harry as he plans career change

TRAITORS winner Harry Clark promised to treat runner-up Mollie Pearce to an exotic holiday after he betrayed her in the TV show’s thrilling finale.

The army corporal, 23, told The Sun on Sunday he was worried model Mollie, 21, hated him after he tricked her into trusting him – then took the £95,000 reward, leaving her with nothing.

But the baby-faced killer said he would make amends by taking her to Bali or Thailand, along with their future partners.

He said: “I would love to take Mollie on holiday with our other halves. I want to work as a donkey for a year and then treat both.

“I feel she deserves it. Maybe she still hates me now, even though she said then, ‘This is a game’.”

About 6.9 million viewers watched the showdown in Scottish castles on Friday night.

It followed weeks of psychological warfare between traitors and believers in a pre-recorded BBC1 game show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

The rules dictated that if at the end of the game the Faithful eliminated all the Traitors, they shared the prize.

But if any Traitor made it to the end, only they got the money.

In the final vote to eliminate one of the final three, Mollie—convinced that the traitor Harry was faithful—was almost swayed to banish him before changing her mind.

This meant that Faithful Jaz Singh was gone – and ensured that Harry would collect the spoils.

When Mollie found out the truth, she was visibly upset and stormed off.

Harry said: “It was a strange rollercoaster of emotions. I was so sad for Mollie but at the same time I was so happy for the win.

“I was 22 at the time and I had just won £95,000 — but it was at someone else’s loss, and I still hate it.”

But he revealed he is still waiting for his prize money.

Harry said, “I don’t have a pot to mess with. I don’t even know when I’ll get the money.”

“Now I still borrow money from my dad. He has my bank account on his phone because he has to tell me to stop spending money because I’m always broke.”

He also admitted that he broke the show’s rules by telling his dad and girlfriend that he won before the series aired.

Harry said: “My dad was horrified and blindsided when I told him. It was about 5am and he got up and opened a bottle of Prosecco.”

Asked if he hugged Mollie when they were finally reunited, Harry, from Slough, Berks, said: “Yes, she was amazing about the situation.

“It just shows her character. She didn’t have to soothe me, she didn’t have to worry about me. She is the most confident, strong woman who sees it as a game. She said to me, ‘You played it like a game from the beginning.’

“She understood how hard it was for me, to lie, to watch people leave. She knows I deserved it — I think that’s the most amazing thing.”

Harry now plans to pop the question to his girlfriend, 23-year-old children’s TV presenter Anna Maynard.

He said: “I’ve been asking Anna’s dad for permission to get engaged for two years now, so I’ll have to keep asking.”

But first the smart Harry wants to pursue a TV career and has already met with showbiz agents.

He said: “I want to try everything.

“I used to be the biggest drama queen and walk around in my mom’s heels with her lipstick on. I want to try being an evil panto villain and go into acting.

“I would like to do more TV shows and presentations.

Meanwhile, Mollie said: “I’m not going to keep Harry taking me on holiday — it was just our little joke.

“Harry played an incredible game, the money is well deserved. A lot of people inside believed him, and there are others who would have done the same thing as me if they had been there at the end.”

Mollie – who opened up about being born with different limbs, battling ulcerative colitis and living with a stoma – said she avoids social media because of the trolls.

They blamed her decision to keep Harry and ditch 30-year-old Jaz in the final.

She said: “I didn’t trust Jaz that much, he didn’t talk to me much. I don’t think he trusted me much either. That was our downfall.”

When asked about going to the final, Mollie admitted: “I needed some air after that twist. It was a shock to find out that someone had lied to you – but there was always a chance of something like that happening.

“I felt good after about 20 minutes. Me and Harry are fine. I told him, ‘What a crazy game we just played’. I have to give him credit.”

Mollie said she was filled with emotion re-watching the dramatic scenes with her co-stars on Friday night.

She said: “All the feelings came back. I had faith in Harry the whole game, so the change at the end was something I couldn’t do.”
