IMAP Settings to Access Bigpond Email Account From a Desktop Email Program

Bigpond is an email service offered under the Telstra brand, an Internet service provider. Since Bigpond merged with Telstra in 2013, customers have had trouble logging into their Bigpond email account.

Bigpond email users can even access their accounts on mobile devices or via desktop email clients if they can’t log in via the webmail version.

The good thing is that Bigpond.com supports IMAP/SMTP, which means you don’t necessarily need to use a webmail interface. You can even check your email or send messages through third-party email or desktop programs like Outlook, Apple Mail, etc., which will ultimately improve your workflow, and you can still access your email if the device is not connected to the Internet.

So if you’re interested in setting up your Bigpond email account in desktop email programs, you’ll need to enter the IMAP settings detailed later in this blog.
