Ina Garten Says It’s 'Good to Be Home' in Her Stunning Hamptons Garden After Attending the Paris Olympics

Ina Garten knows that there is no better place than home.

After an eventful time in Paris, Barefoot Contessa star shared a photo of the beautiful garden at her East Hampton, New York estate, along with a message of gratitude. “Paris was beautiful for the Olympics, but it’s always good to be home,” she wrote on Instagram on Friday, August 9. “I wish everyone a nice weekend!”

Garten ended the caption with three heart-shaped emojis and hashtags naming all the plants in the display: #hydrangea #cleome #verbenabonariensis #roses.

She previously showed off the garden’s lush greenery in an Instagram video in 2021, giving a glimpse of where she grows tomatoes and herbs, such as sage, chives, thyme and tarragon.

“[There is] lavender and lots of fresh herbs that I use in my cooking,” she said.

Before returning to New York this week, the Food Network star was showing off Today show host around Paris, where she and her husband Jeffrey Garten have had an apartment for 25 years.

“It’s the city I’m happiest in,” Ina told Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on July 26. “It’s just wonderful.”

“The thing about the French is that everyone here enjoys their life,” she added.

Ina took Kotb, Guthrie and their co-hosts Al Roker and Craig Melvin to Marché Raspail, a food market that has special meaning for her and Jeffrey.

“I just wanted to show it to you because it changed my life,” she continued.

Ina also led the group to her favorite cheese shop, Barthélémy, and Poilâne, a bakery opened in 1932.

“Ina in Paris, no Emily in Paris,” she joked in a joint post shared by her account and Today‘s on July 24, referring to the popular Netflix series starring Lily Collins.
