INBETWEENERS star Emily Atack is “overwhelmed” as she looks forward to becoming a mum in the new year.
The actress and comedian (34) is five months pregnant and expecting her first child in April.

She and her boyfriend, Dr. Alistair Garner, recently decorated their home together to prepare for their baby’s arrival.
Last night Emily proudly posted a black and white photo on Instagram showing off her baby bump.
She told her 1.9 million followers: “Hello everyone, it’s been a while but I’m back with some news. I am happy to share with you all that we are having a baby!! I have never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time.
“Please be gentle with me. Every day is mixed with excitement, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomit — a bit like when you’ve just walked out of Oblivion at Alton Towers with a hangover.
“I got to know my body on such a crazy level. This made me appreciate the one I was given so much, so I do my best to make it a home for the little squids I breed.
“We can already feel the baby lying on a mattress full of peanut butter and jam sandwiches, asking for more chocolate buttons.
“I am so happy to write all this to you. You’ve always been there for me through the years, stay and watch me step into my mother’s era. Christ. Let’s go.”
Earlier, a pal said: “It’s the perfect end to her year. He feels over the moon.
“Emily is more than ready to become a mom and it’s something she’s dreamed of her whole life.
“Her relationship with Alistair grew stronger and they started together.
“Family is everything to her – she herself comes from a big family and is very close to all her brothers and sisters – so she can’t wait to start her own.
“Everyone gathered around her and was delighted by the joyous occasion.
A friend said Emily’s mum Kate Robbins, 65, “can’t wait to be a grandmother”.
Actress, singer and impressionist Kate — who appeared in Channel 4 drama The Couple Next Door — is related to Sir Paul McCartney.
Emily’s musician father Keith was in the pop band Child in the 1970s.
Emily has taken some time off from social media since her birthday on December 18th.

Alistair describes himself on his Linkedin as a materials scientist and electron microscopist specializing in nuclear and space applications.
Emily became an overnight sensation and teen poster girl when she played Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners from 2008 to 2010.
She was runner-up in the I’m a Celebrity 2018 contest.
As of 2020, The Emily Attack Show – written and created by Emily – has run for three seasons on ITV2.
She was put on hold last year due to scheduling conflicts with her Disney+ series Rivals.
Emily was a guest at The Sun’s Who Cares Wins Awards in September.
She posed with Caroline Flack Mental Health Hero Award winner Amandip Sidhu, who founded the charity Doctors in Distress.

Emily recently moved and signed with Curtis Brown where her younger sister Martha is now her direct agent, after both left YMU.
She is in talks with major mainstream brands about commercial deals for 2024 and has signed a movie deal with Archery Pictures.
Earlier this year, Emily bravely opened up in a BBC2 documentary called Asking For It? about being a victim of cyberflashing.
She revealed that every day on the Internet she is bombarded with lewd images of sex and abuse from strangers and threats to rape and kill her.
She has also met with politicians, including Sir Keir Starmer, to try to educate young people about the effects of violence against women and girls.
Her campaign has since led to cyberflashing becoming a criminal offence, with perpetrators facing up to two years in prison.

COMEDIAN Emily Atack had a string of high-profile relationships before finding happiness with boyfriend Dr Alistair Garner.
Some of her previous lovers include singer Harry Styles and I’m A Celeb star Seann Walsh.
She dated former One Direction boyfriend Harry, now 29, in 2012. But she insisted they were “never boyfriend and girlfriend”.
She later dated fellow comedian Seann Walsh, 38, and the pair remained close friends.
After the isolation, she dated model Jude Taylor, but the couple broke up after only five months of dating.
Then two years ago, we told how Emily enjoyed daily chats and a series of secret meetings with Manchester City footballer Jack Grealish.
But after their romance was discovered, Jack (28) cut off contact with Emily.
