CORONATION Street star Tina O’Brien has slammed her ex-boyfriend Ryan Thomas in a furious Instagram post – after they had a heated row.
In a now-deleted post, actress Sarah Platt Tina, 40, shared a quote about ‘tyrannical narcissistic fathers’.

The quote defined a negative personality trait as “a bully – a cruel, lying arrogant person. He is a tyrant who is completely entrenched in his grandiose world and insists that everyone follow his orders.
“He is emotionally abusive and can cause significant emotional harm to all family members. Unfortunately, his behavior causes relationships within the family to be toxic and can cause lifelong wounds.”
She then added in her own words, “Thankfully not my dad… but a dad I know very well… resonates deeply.”
The Sun can reveal the cutting announcement followed a heated row between the exes over the phone.
A source told us: “Tina had a heated argument with Ryan over the phone over their daughter – which ended with her hanging up. They rarely speak these days as they tend to be confrontational.”
The Sun has contacted representatives for the couple for comment.
The latest incident between the two follows allegations of a late-night altercation last year during which Tina allegedly smashed Ryan’s car with a baseball bat.
Ryan, 39, and Tina stunned fans when they split in 2009, just a year after giving birth to daughter Scarlett, the Waterloo Road actress, 13.
In 2018, after seven years together, Tina married Adam Crofts, with whom she has a son, Beau, and Ryan was invited to the wedding.
Celebrity Big Brother winner Ryan has previously praised Adam as a stepfather.
He said: “Adam is cool, he’s just a lovely guy.”
“As a stepfather in Scarlett’s life, I hit the jackpot. She loves him.”
Speaking about her relationship with her ex in the past, Tina said: “It took a lot of years and a lot of tongue-biting. Seriously though, it’s mostly down to Adam and Ryan.
“It helps that everyone has moved on and is happy. Ryan’s really happy and we’re happy, so there’s no problem.
“For Scarlett’s sake, it was worth preserving [our relationship] and choosing our battles.”
Tina also seemed to have a great relationship with Ryan’s fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh.
But things have soured between the blended families in recent years.
A source said: “Ryan and Tina have a rocky relationship. They are not on good terms and that tension has boiled over.”
Tina, who first played Sarah on the Cobbles in 1999, began dating Ryan in 2003 after splitting from Corrie actor Bruno Langley, who played Ryan’s on-screen brother Todd Grimshaw.
She then said she and Ryan were “forever”, adding: “We’re going to be together forever, fingers crossed. I can’t see myself with anyone else.”
They had an on-screen romance two years later when Sarah fell in love with mechanic Jason Grimshaw.
The couple were due to marry in 2007, but Sarah was left at the altar. She left the show later that year.
Tina and Ryan divorced in 2009. Later that year, Tina revealed: “He said he didn’t love me anymore. Those were his words. I was devastated.”
