The green-fingered designer put her gardening know-how into the hit reality show, in which Charlie, along with horticulture experts Arit Anderson, Lee Burkhill, Flo Headlam and Chris Hull, transform gardens unloved across the country into their owners of outdoor space dreams.

Charlie Dimmock’s Private Life
When she’s not on our screens about transforming gardens on the popular BBC show, Charlie (56) works as a gardener and garden designer.
However, she also likes to put down the cart and spade and do other things.

Before returning to TV in 2016 after an 11-year hiatus, Charlie gave an interview to RadioTimes.com and explained how she spends her time.

“I’ve done a lot of work with dementia homes, at flower exhibitions, shows, working on excursions,” she said, adding: “I played around to do a lot of work.”

This professional gardener is also a charity campaigner, having competed in the Macmillan 4×4 UK Challenge in 2003. She has been involved in many charity projects, including Dreamflight, which brings in critically ill children. to Florida on the vacation of a lifetime.

Charlie lives a quiet life in the New Forest, Hampshire, where she grew up.
In an interview with the Daily Mail in 2011, Charlie revealed that she had “never been happier” in her kitchen.

“I love to cook, and my books have all the answers,” she said, before continuing on about her tragic family situation. “My grandmother, my father, Terry and my mother, Sue, were good cooks but unfortunately my father and mother divorced when I was 17. Both remarried and then I tragically lost my mother and stepfather. disaster in Thailand during the 2004 tsunami.”

She continued: “I’m not as good as my mother, but I like it, especially the curries. My dad loves it – he was a sailor merchant and used to bring home fresh condiments.”

While fans can only imagine what Charlie’s private garden looks like when the star is away from social media, she has previously talked about the big plans she has for the space.
“I’ll try to make my garden look good because I’ve been doing this for so long it looks like a disaster area!” she told The Express in 2019. “In the fall, I tend to my garden.
“Perhaps I will ask someone from the landscaping team [from Garden Rescue] to pave the way for me. I want the autumn to be dry, not too hot, not too cold so I can continue.”

Is Charlie Dimmock Married?
Charlie is not married.
While she previously dated John Mushet, the wine gardener, whom she met while traveling in New Zealand in the early 1990s, the couple split after the gardener had a brief conversation with Ground Force microphone operator Andy Simmons in 2001.

The TV star said in 2014 that she felt “too old” to walk down the aisle. Now that I’m too old, definitely too old to get married, it doesn’t help,” she told the Daily Mail.
“I think I’m too old now. I don’t see anything romantic happening; someone really has to cheat on me. I’m quite content not having a man in my life.”
