When Lana Del Rey married alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, the couple decided to host their wedding in a setting close to their hearts.
“The wedding ceremony and reception were held on the same bay where Jeremy runs his swamp boat trips,” a source told PEOPLE of the couple’s Sept. 26 celebration in Des Allemandes, La.
The source adds: “This is where they met for the first time. It is a special place for them. It was a beautiful, relaxed and family wedding. The focus was only on their love story.”
The couple received a marriage license from the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court in Louisiana on September 23, three days before the singer-songwriter and her beau exchanged vows. An Airboat Tours employee confirmed the Sept. 27 wedding to PEOPLE.
In the photos he received Daily Mail, Del Rey can be seen in a white dress with a ruffled neckline and her hair styled with a light blue ribbon. Dufrene wore a dark suit for the occasion.
Reps for Del Rey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

According to Daily Mail, Del Rey appeared to be walked down the aisle by her father, Robert Grant, holding a bouquet of flowers. Other photos show several white tents set up near the water with tables and chairs as guests in suits, dresses and other formal attire mingled nearby.
A ship docked nearby was decorated with greenery and white flowers.
The “Summertime Sadness” singer has known Dufrene since at least 2019, when she shared photos with him on Facebook after going on one of his wilderness tours.

“Jeremy lemme will be captaining Arthur’s Air Boat Tours,” she captioned a series of pictures on Facebook.
A source also told PEOPLE that Del Rey and Dufrene “initially first met a few years ago and then reconnected earlier this year.”
The source added: “It was a whirlwind romance, but Lana’s close friends hoped they would get married. Jeremy is different from the men Lana meets in the entertainment world. He’s a great guy. He is charming and charismatic in a southern way, a true gentleman and treats Lana very well. She’s an old soul.”

In May, Del Ray tagged Dufrene in an Instagram post, seemingly calling him her “guy.”
She captioned the photo of the singer and her two siblings: “Family with my guy @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay.”
In August 2024, a TikTok user shared a short video of the singer walking hand-in-hand with Dufrene at a festival in Leeds, England, where Del Rey was performing.
Then on September 7, Del Rey brought Dufrene to model Karen Elson’s wedding to Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster in New York. The couple was joined by other celebrity guests, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, as well as Karlie Kloss and Linda Evangelista.
