This Thursday, a new episode of Southern Charm Season 8 will air on Bravo, with Taylor Ann Green struggling to trust Shep Rose. Taylor was scared of pregnancy in one of the episodes, so the couple had problems. In last week’s episode, she approached Shep and asked about the state of their relationship. Shep agreed that he wasn’t a “safe bet” when she said she didn’t believe he was ready for commitment. He ended his conversation with Taylor, who seemed annoyed, by saying:
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
Meanwhile, reports of trouble in paradise have been circulating, but Shep and Taylor have not officially announced their split.
A look at Shep and Taylor’s relationship
Shep first mentioned Taylor on social media in February 2020, when he tweeted a photo of her with the band’s lead singer. Rumors of the duo’s relationship first surfaced in March, and then Taylor confirmed her relationship with Shep on Instagram in May 2020. They were filming Season 7 of Southern Charm during those months, so they had to keep their relationship under wraps. During that season, Shep introduced Taylor to the audience for the first time.
Shep admitted to cheating on Taylor at the Season 7 reunion. Shep explained his interaction with her in the episode:
“I kissed a girl on the stairs – and that’s all.” It was an old flame and we were texting back and forth like, ‘Ooh, tomorrow night,’ but nothing came of it. It was a vulnerable time. I drank. But that’s all, and I’ll go to my grave knowing that.”
The Southern Charm actress went on to say:
“Look, I hate what happened and it hurt me a lot,” she says. But I’d rather stay with you. I’m madly in love with you. You give me joy.’ It was a big thing that we cried.”
The couple began filming the eighth season last year and have been spotted sharing countless love messages on Instagram. They traveled to Europe in March, and Shep told US Weekly in June, shortly before the Season 8 premiere:
“We just recently started dating and it’s been a real honeymoon season.” We were just out in the corner doing our thing and making each other laugh, and now she’s totally on the show and friends — much better friends — with everyone, so she’s really blossoming.”
Shep’s last Instagram picture with her was taken on July 10 in Vero Beach, Florida. Taylor’s last post with him was on July 4th from the same location. Meanwhile, in Season 8 of Southern Charm, the couple will try to figure out the future of their relationship.
When will the fifth episode of Southern Charm season 8 air?
Aside from the Taylor-Shep conflict, Southern Charm Season 8 Episode 5 will continue to show the feud that broke out at Venita Aspen and Madison LeCroy’s joint birthday party. Since the last episode ended on a cliffhanger, the next episode will show Venita’s birthday gone awry. He will try to patch things up with Kathryn Dennis and Olivia Flowers, but things will go wrong. The official description for Southern Charm Season 8 Episode 5 is Exes and Uh Oh’s:
“Madison and Venita’s combo party goes awry; Paige establishes the ground rules for her relationship with Craig; Shep struggles to gain Taylor’s trust while abroad; Kathryn organizes a ladies night out to celebrate her newfound fame.”
