IPU silver jubilee celebration
Silver Jubilee of IP University: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has decided to provide a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’ to students who could not complete their degree in the last 25 years. The opportunity is being offered as part of the silver jubilee celebrations, according to the vice-chancellor.
Mahesh Verma, Vice-Chancellor gave information about many programs to be held between October 5-10, 2023 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of IP University in a press conference. He further said that IP University will award 25 researchers from the healthcare industry.

The silver anniversary celebration started in December last year and will continue till December this year, he said.
In this jubilee year, the institution recognizes achievements in healthcare as well as academic endeavors. Additionally, the university will award 25 scholarships to deserving students.
“We will offer a one-time opportunity to students who, due to various reasons, could not complete their degrees in the past 25 years,” Verma told PTI on the sidelines of the university’s ongoing silver jubilee celebrations.
Health Mela at Talkatora Indoor Stadium attracts over 15,000 visitors
At Talkatora’s indoor stadium, the university also hosted a “health fair” where everyone could get free health check-ups, advice, diagnostic tests and expert discussions.
More than 15,000 people registered on the first day of the event. People of different ages came for medical examination at more than 50 specialized medical booths set up by well-known governmental and non-governmental medical organizations.
Further remarks by the Vice Chancellor said, “We have adopted 25 villages and are actively working for the welfare of the people in these communities.”
