Zac Efron is ready to rumble.
In conversation with Entertainment Weekly on the eve of the release of the sports biographical film Iron Clawactors Efron, Jeremy Allen White and Harris Dickinson have revealed they will be stepping into the ring in real life, after training to play the real-life Von Erich brothers for the drama.
“Oh, I’d jump in,” White, 32, said during talks held under the A24 SAG-AFTRA interim agreement amid the actors’ strike.
“I would love to,” added Dickinson, 27. “Do you remember at the end of the shoot? We were like, ‘Should we try to make this real?’ ”
“We went to [director Sean Durkin] and they said, ‘Sean, call them! Tell them we’re ready!’ ” White said, as Efron, 36, recalled, “Yeah, call WWE! Say we’ll do it!”

Dickinson asked his co-stars if they would “honestly” appear in the real WWE if asked — and while White responded “F— yes” without hesitation, Efron told his co-stars with a smile after some thought, “Just if all you guys were there.”
The actors ate thousands of calories a day and trained for months to play Kevin Von Erich (Efron), Kerry Von Erich (White) and David Von Erich (Dickinson), brother and sister wrestling champions who deal with family struggles and try to live in according to the expectations of their father, the famous professional wrestler Fritz Von Erich (Holt McCallany).
Efron told his co-stars that he was “thrilled on the first day [they] came to work,” adding, “You’ve been jumping rope and doing big hits.”
White said: “We had a little time [training] in LA But I don’t know, Zac, I’ve never seen you not good at anything.”
Efron was first spotted on the set of the film in October 2022, showing off his muscular physique and new hairstyle while wearing only a towel around his waist.
White shares with Esquire in May that he and Efron bulked up for the roles by “never stopping” eating, and White said Baywatch the actor made the process look easy.
“Zac is a maniac,” Bear the actor said of his costar. “He’s so focused and knowledgeable about training, nutrition, all of that.”
White added of Efron, “As far as the physical transformation, I think he blew us all out of the water. He looks really amazing in this thing.”
Iron Claw it’s in theaters on December 22.
