Neal Brennan is a multi-talented person. He is a standup comedian, podcaster, author, producer and director. He is best known for his work as co-creator and co-writer of the hit Comedy Central series Chappelle’s Show, which starred Dave Chappelle.
Unlike his professional life, little is known about him. Brennan has occasionally shared his thoughts on marriage and his girlfriend.
His opinion on marriage
On October 16, 2020, the comedian answered questions from fans and discussed his thoughts on marriage on an episode of the How Neal Feal podcast on YouTube. “I just think it’s a bad institution [marriages], and should go along with totalitarianism, fascism and Mormonism to the dustbin of history,” he said. In the podcast, he also confirmed that he is not married.
The 47-year-old comedian then laughed off a fan who asked him: “How come you’re not married?” Brennan didn’t even bother to answer. In another instance, on May 20, 2018, Brennan took to Twitter to express his thoughts on marriage. “Marriage seems inexorable,” he wrote in a tweet.
His relationship history
Despite his disbelief in marriage and wife, the podcast host had girlfriends. He did not reveal much about his previous relationships. However, he only mentioned them in passing, either during standup routines or during interviews.
In an interview with Parade in March 2016, Brennan stated: In his YouTube standup video, which was released on January 27, 2020, he also noted that his girlfriend is Asian.
Brennan is the oldest of nine siblings.
Brennan was born on October 19, 1973 in Villanova, Pennsylvania, a college town near Philadelphia. He is the youngest of his parents’ ten children and comes from an Irish Catholic family. He lived there until he was six years old. When he was around 8 or 9 years old, he realized that he was funny and started writing comedy acts and performing them with his friends.

Brennan’s first job as a writer was in 1995 when he wrote for Jenny McCarthy and Chris Hardwick on the romance show Singled Out. In 1997, he co-wrote Half Baked with Chappelle, a commercial failure. However, they continued to work together and worked on Chappelle’s Show. The show debuted in January 2003, and as they say, the rest is history. Brennan is now one of the best-known writers and comedians in the industry.
