Is the OceanGate website down? Discover the truth about the website shutdown and find out if Oceangate really did close.
Is the Oceangate website down?
On June 22, 2023, the OceanGate website suddenly stopped working, leading to more trouble and raising doubts about OceanGate’s future prospects. The titan, which is carrying four babies, was last seen off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Despite ongoing search and rescue efforts since the incident, neither the submarine nor its occupants had been found as of June 23, 2023.
Unfortunately, OceanGate Expeditions has not released any official updates regarding the status of the Titan or the progress of the search and rescue operation. The disturbing nature of this situation, combined with the unavailability of the company’s website, has raised concerns about the future prospects of OceanGate Expeditions.
Did Oceangate close?
After a devastating incident involving their submarine Titan near the wreck of the Titanic, the OceanGate website was shut down on June 22nd. Tragically, the submarine Titan imploded during its expedition on June 15, 2023, resulting in the loss of all five people on board, including OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush. Although the passengers signed a waiver of liability, there is a possibility that the families of the victims may still take legal action against OceanGate.
In addition, the company is currently handling a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Stockton Rush. The disappearance of the Titan and the unavailability of the OceanGate website have raised concerns about the safety of underwater diving. Submarines are complex machines designed to operate in challenging environments, and several accidents have been reported in recent years.
The Titan case serves as a reminder of the inherent risks involved in this activity. But despite the potential dangers, scuba diving offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating underwater world. One of the popular destinations for such dives is the site of the Titanic wreck, which has great historical significance and is globally recognized as one of the most legendary shipwrecks.
