In February 2011, he made his debut in M-1 Global. Tengiz Khuchua was knocked out in the first round by him. In April 2013, he won a unanimous decision over Mansour Barnaoui at M-1 Challenge 38. In August 2013, he won a unanimous decision over undefeated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Rander Junio at M-1 Challenge 41. In June 2014, he submitted Yuri Ivlev at M-1 Challenge 49.
