IDF sources claim the deadly rocket was fired from Gaza before landing near Al-Ahli Hospital
Channel 12 News has shown footage they claim is “proof” that terrorists launched a deadly rocket near Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
The video was captured by one of the point of sale cameras in Netiv Ha’asara – which is aimed at Gaza.
It showed a series of rocket launches, and just moments later, the area in front of what is believed to be a hospital burst into flames.
“This is proof of Israeli claims that in fact missiles from the Gaza Strip were fired in the direction of Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City,” said presenter Yonit Levy.
Earlier today, Israel released drone footage and a wiretapped phone conversation between two Hamas terrorists as part of its efforts to “prove” that a deadly Gaza hospital explosion was caused by a misfired Islamic Jihad rocket.
Israel released its evidence after vehemently denying responsibility for the devastating blast and saying the deadly explosion was the result of a failed rocket launched by Palestinian terrorists.
Two Hamas operatives were reportedly recorded saying the rocket was fired by another Palestinian terrorist group, Islamic Jihad.
It comes after Israel said today that it would not block aid sent to Faza from Egypt.
The Israeli prime minister’s office says that the country “will not thwart humanitarian deliveries from Egypt as long as it is only food, water and medicine for the civilian population in the southern Gaza Strip.”
But the statement added that “it will not allow any humanitarian aid from its territory into the Gaza Strip until our hostages are returned.”
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden arrived in Tel Aviv this morning in his strongest public display of support for Israel since Hamas launched its bloodbath in southern Israel on October 7.

But after the tragic explosion at the hospital, Biden reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that it appeared the explosion was carried out by “another team, not you.”
Netanyahu, meanwhile, said: “The barbaric terrorists in Gaza, not the IDF, are responsible for the attack on the Gaza hospital.
The people who brutally killed our children are also killing their own children.
Thousands of people reportedly sought refuge at the hospital – along with hundreds of patients and medical staff.
More than 500 innocent civilians were killed in the blast, according to Hamas, although the number has not been confirmed.
Israel and Palestine have shared blame for the blast, although neither claim could be independently verified.
But in a shocking reprisal, the Israel Defense Forces released a recording of a wiretapped phone conversation between two operatives working within the Palestinian militant group.
Posting the clip on X, formerly known as Twitter, they wrote: “Islamic Jihad attacked a hospital in Gaza – the IDF did not.
“Listen to the terrorists as they understand it themselves”.
The intercepted audio begins with the first Hamas operative saying: “I’m telling you this is the first time we’ve seen a missile fall like this.”
Another militant replies: “And that’s why we say he belongs to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.”
The first speaker says, “What?” before another replied: “They say he belongs to Palestinian Islamic Jihad”.
“It’s from us?” asks the first Hamas operative, and the second replies, “It seems so!”
As the chilling phone conversation continues, another speaker explains that the shrapnel from the rocket was “local shrapnel, not like Israeli shrapnel.”
After a few seconds of silence, one adds, “But God bless you, he couldn’t find another place to explode?”
The footage also allegedly reveals that the deadly rocket was fired from not far from the cemetery.
“They shot him coming from the cemetery behind the Al-Ma’amadani hospital, and he lost his way and fell on them,” said the first operative.
The pair then discuss the location of the cemetery before the other speaker admits to knowing about it.
The tape was one of several pieces of evidence Israel used to deny its involvement in the hospital explosion.

The IDF released a recorded telephone conversation between two Hamas terrorists on the Internet
Two hours before the IDF released the video, it shared Israeli Air Force drone footage showing Al-Ahli Hospital before and after the overnight destruction.
“A failed rocket launch by the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization hit Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza City,” the IDF said.
“IAF footage of the area around the hospital before and after the failed rocket launch by the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad”.
The absence of a large crater and the absence of damage to the surrounding buildings allegedly prove that it was not an Israeli airstrike.
This morning, the Israeli army also published aerial photographs to “prove” that there were no signs of an attack by Israeli planes on the hospital.
According to IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari, who briefed foreign media early today, the army’s assessment is based on “intelligence from several sources.”
He further said: “From the IDF’s operational systems analysis, an enemy rocket barrage was launched towards Israel and passed near the hospital when it was hit.
“Intelligence from several sources in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad was responsible for the failed rocket launch that hit the hospital in Gaza.
“I repeat this is the responsibility of the Islamic Jihad who killed the innocents in the hospital in Gaza.”
The IDF also released a video showing a rocket failure in Gaza – allegedly at the same time the hospital was jammed.
The video shows the rocket exploding in the air before hurtling towards the ground.
“A rocket aimed at Israel failed to fire and exploded at 6:59 p.m. — the same time a Gaza hospital was hit,” the IDF wrote on X.
It is unclear what exactly was hit by the unfired rocket in the video.
IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus told CNN that Israel “categorically” does not intentionally attack sensitive facilities — including hospitals.
“We did not attack it, and the intelligence we have suggests it was a failed rocket launch by Islamic Jihad,” he said.
Horrific footage from the hospital shows the fire engulfing the building, while the hospital grounds are littered with bodies, many of which were young children.
Blood-soaked sheets covering the huge pile of victims could be seen across what was left of the hospital yard, while witnesses said the “smell of bodies” now hung in the air.
“The hospital was full of dead and wounded, dismembered bodies and dead,” said Dr. Fadel Naim, the hospital’s head of orthopedic surgery.
In a chilling report posted on Facebook, Dr. Abu Sittah wrote: “We now know that the number of those killed exceeds 500.
“This number will increase because I saw many dismembered bodies and body parts while carrying the last patient to the ambulance by the yard.
“The number of children killed exceeds 50 percent.
“I saw the body of a small child whose head was missing”.
But while Israel and Palestine continue to play the blame game, Hamas has denied any involvement in the rocket launch that caused this tragedy.
A spokesman for Islamic Jihad said this was “completely false” and accused the IDF of “trying to cover up the terrible crime and massacre they committed”.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said early this morning that the attack on Al-Ahli Hospital was a “horrible massacre of war” that could not be tolerated.
“Israel has crossed all the red lines… We will not leave or allow anyone to expel us from there,” he added.
