For the puzzle geeks among you, there’s an extra catch: you have to try to find the trickster animal in just nine seconds.

So, grab the timer, set it to nine seconds, and prove your puzzle-solving skills.

Although it may seem like a simple image, this is no easy feat, and it takes the average person more than a minute to find it.

Only 16 percent of people can find it within 30 seconds, so kudos to you if you’ve already found it!

Puzzles are deliberately designed to deceive our vision and can be used as simple indicators of intelligence.

dr. Amber Johnston, a clinical psychologist in neuropsychology, said brain teasers help keep our brains active, young and have a positive effect on mental well-being.

She said: “What is well understood about the brain and mental health is that people are strongly driven to learn.

“Anything that offers new challenges and learning opportunities has been found to lead to greater well-being and enjoyment, and studies show that people prefer to choose new and challenging tasks over easy, repetitive tasks, even without a reward for engaging in any.

“Because we are naturally motivated to challenge and learn, brain teasers fit into the fun category of hobbies that can improve our mental health.”

Have you found the secret zebra yet?

If you need help, try breaking the image into several parts. Then search each section slowly, one at a time.

This puzzle is made especially difficult by the different colors throughout the image, the mass of white juxtaposed with green and red making it difficult for your eyes to focus on any one object – offering perfect camouflage for a rogue animal.

But if this puzzle was too easy for you, try some of our other brain teasers!
