Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals How Will Smith Reacted to Rumor About His Sexuality: ‘We Laughed About It’

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith laughed off recent rumors about his sexuality.

After claims that Will and actor Duane Martin had sex circulated on social media this week, Will’s rep said in a statement: “This story is completely fabricated and the claim is unequivocally false.”

The accusation was made on Wine Weaning with Tasha K by brother Bilal, who claimed to have caught Smith, 55, and Martin having sex a few years ago. (Cardi B previously won a defamation lawsuit against YouTuber LaTasha Keba, also known as Tasha K.)

Jada, 52, spoke about the rumors while visiting The breakfast club in the episode that debuted Thursday: “Let me just say this: It’s funny, isn’t it? And it’s nonsense.”

Of Will’s reaction to brother Bilal’s claims, Jada said her husband “will always find it funny,” adding that she and Will “laughed it off.” “You have to because it’s absolutely ridiculous, you know what I’m saying. So all you have is, you just have to laugh at it. And it’s unfortunate,” she said.

“He said, ‘Do you believe this s—?’ ” she said. “But we just laughed about it.

Jada said that brother Bilal “tried a search, a monetary search, but it didn’t work. We’re going to take legal action. Because it’s one thing to have an opinion about someone, not just make up rotten, malicious stories. That’s effective. . Well let’s go with it.”

Brother Bilal did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

She said she could only “sit back and shake her head” because it “got so funny” with people claiming “we were both gay and playing each other’s beards, or we slept with whoever we wanted, whenever we wanted wanted”. ”
