Jada Pinkett Smith Says She and Will Are Talking About Writing a Book Together — and They Have a Title!

Jada Pinkett Smith hints at that Worthy it may not be the last time he writes about his marriage.

In an interview with Extra correspondent Carlos Greer, the 52-year-old actress revealed that she and Will Smith may work together as co-writers.

“I know Will and I are talking about writing a book together,” Jada said.

They even have a title already chosen, the Girls trip the star added: “Don’t try this at home.”

In an interview with Lewis Howes about his A school of greatness podcast released on October 15, Jada said, “I hope one day we can write a book together” with Will. “I think the process he’s going through right now would be very helpful to a lot of men.”

Worthy included surprising revelations about the relationship between Jade and Will, 55, who have been married since 1997 and have son Jaden Smith, 25, daughter Willow Smith, 22, and Will’s son Trey Smith, 30.

Before the memoir was published, Jada confirmed in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE that she and Emancipation the actor had been separated for seven years by the time the couple attended the 2022 Oscars together.

“We’re still figuring it out,” Jada told PEOPLE. “We did really hard work together. We just got a deep love for each other and we’re going to figure out what that looks like for us.”

The divorce was not a “divorce on paper”, as Hoda Kotb formulated it in a special issue Today. But Jada said that “by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted trying.”

It was at the 2022 Oscars, during an onstage incident in which Will slapped host Chris Rock for a joke about Jada’s alopecia, which he now says marked a turning point in their marriage.

“Oscar night and going through such an emotional crisis like that,” she said Extra, “I knew immediately that I would never leave Will no matter what. And I didn’t go in there as his wife. But I was leaving his wife there. So it showed me that love can conquer everything.”

Stating that Worthy concludes with the 2022 Oscars incident, Jada added that she and Will are “back” in their relationship and “that part was left out of the narrative.”

“Divorce is not on the table,” the Talk about the red table host confirmed. “We are life partners.”

A tongue-in-cheek video of the “statement” posted to Instagram on Tuesday showed Will teasing out a response Worthy and his many discoveries. “I have something for you, here’s what it’s about. So my opinion on — ” he teased before mock-sneezing into his hand. The video then cut back, revealing stylized graphics of nature.

He gave more insight into the letter sent to Jay Shetty, which the host read out in one episode Intentionally with Jay Shetty. “It’s amazing to realize that despite spending most of my life with you, I was still shocked and stunned and caught off guard, laughing, then inspired, then heartbroken,” Will wrote. “I was everywhere. ”

In the statement for The New York Times, Will said reading Jada’s memoir was an eye-opening experience. “When you’ve been with someone for more than half your life,” he wrote to the publication, “a kind of emotional blindness sets in and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

When asked if he was “still emotionally blind” after those comments, Jada said Extra“No. It was a wonderful part of the second half of our trip. We really did a lot of hard work together.”

“We started out codependent and had to find our independence to get back to being interdependent and being able to see each other’s points of view and really respect and love each other there,” she added with a laugh. “It’s a trip, man!”
