Philips’ musically diverse family
Despite his soccer skills, Jaelan comes from a musical family where each member plays a different instrument. Jaelan is the grandson of renowned pianist and Lynn University Conservatory of Music Dean Jon Robertson. His grandfather was born in Jamaica, the son of a pastor who was also a musician and organist. When Jon was four years old, his father became ill and needed emergency care, which was only available in the United States.
After making his debut as a pianist at the age of nine, Jon began to live in California and gain popularity in America. Furthermore, Jaelan claims that his grandfather, like him, is a football lover and supports his football decision.
