Jagdish Devda is an Indian lawyer and politician. He became the deputy chief minister of Madhya Pradesh in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government on December 11, 2023. Devda is famous for representing the Malhargarh assembly constituency for eight consecutive terms. He briefly served as the interim Speaker of the 15th Madhya Pradesh Assembly but later resigned to become a minister.

Jagdish Devda began his political journey while in college. In 1979, when he was a student at Government College Rampura, Nimuche State, he became the student union president of the college. Thereafter, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and held various positions in the party. In 1986, he worked as Professor of English at Vikram University, Ujjain.
He represented the Suvasara constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly in 1990, 1993 and 2003. In 1990, he defeated Indian National Congress candidate Parvati Arya by 15,428 votes. In 1993, Devda defeated INC candidate Girish by 5,443 votes. However, in the 1998 elections, he lost to Congress candidate Pushpa Bharatiya by 4,098 votes. In the 2003 elections, Devda defeated Indian National Congress candidate Pushpa Bharatiya by a huge margin of 35,636 votes.
Devda contested the state legislative assembly elections in 2008, 2013 and 2018 and won from the Malhargarh constituency. In 2008, he defeated Shyamal Jokchand of the Indian National Congress by 3,688 votes. In the 2013 election, he was re-elected in the same constituency. He defeated his opponent Jokchand by a margin of 6,571 votes. In the 2018 elections, Devda defeated Indian National Congress candidate Parshuram Sisodia by 11,872 votes. Devda was in charge of commercial taxes, planning, economics and statistics affairs in the fourth week Khan ministry.
In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Jagdish Devda emerged victorious from the Malhargarh constituency by defeating independent candidate Shyamlal Jokchand by a margin of 59,024 votes.
