History
Tran had a history of making anti-Semitic statements, the lawsuit alleges. Tran allegedly informed his classmates that Jews were “primitive” in December 2022 and urged them to blame an “Iranian Jew” for business losses.
Tran is accused of sending messages to a former classmate between August and November 2022 saying “Someone is going to kill you Jew” and “I want you dead Jew.” Tran, who has been homeless and living in his car for a year, has reportedly admitted responsibility for the shooting, saying he chose to target the children because of his traditional Jewish clothing.
