Jaleel White says he lost 16 lbs. during his 2012 run Dancing with the starsexplaining that he was able to perform complicated moves with partner Kym Johnson.
During the Dec. 10 episode of Lance Bass’ podcast Frozen tips, White and Bass, who was on DWTS In 2008, it sounded about the challenging nature of the reality competition.
“That’s something that no one will understand: how fucking hard it was — unless you were on that show,” the ‘Nsync alum said. “I didn’t meet half of the contestants in that show, but if I saw them on the street, I would, like, give them the biggest hug, be like that. ‘I know. I know.’ ”

“I lost sixteen pounds during that show!” the Family matters alum, 48, said. “I came ready to dance. I’m like, I’m an athlete, I’ll figure this out.”
White later shared it with Dancing with the stars“When they bring you on the show, they bring you on the show because of the character, and they thought I’d be, like, there for the comic relief… I’m always [am] light and funny, whatever, because that’s what I’m trying to be.”
But he didn’t expect to be so good at dancing.

“I don’t throw myself on the floor like a fish, you know,” White, who published his memoirs, Growing up Urkel this year, he said. “I’m pretty coordinated, dude. I like sports.”
He also said he was inspired by the athleticism of the show’s professional dancers. “All the dancers are amazing,” he said. “They really are so good at what they do, and it’s really cool to see it up close and personal.”
Bass said he feels the same way.
“It’s so scary to be around people who are so good,” Bass agreed. “It’s like, ‘Oh my God, I feel inferior.’ ”
