Superman: Legacy Director James Gunn has revealed that he is eyeing a major DC Comics hero to join his DC Universe franchise. As DC Studios prepares its new connected franchise, Iron Man is gearing up to be reimagined once again on the big screen. Gunn is one of the co-CEOs, Guardians of the Galaxy The filmmaker directs the new movie Superman: Legacy The reboot, marks one of Chapter 1’s key projects for the DC Universe. Production is now expected to begin around 2024 in time for a 2025 launch date.
As Gunn concludes his stint at Marvel Studios this year, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3The filmmaker accidentally leaked another DC hero to join Superman: Legacy. In an interview sun torontoGunn and Chris Pratt are talking about super dog Krypto. But when it became clear that Gunn wasn’t joking about the iconic super pet appearing in the new reboot, the director clarified that Krypto was in the movie. Superman: Legacy.
Gunn: I wish I could let you play superman Krypto (in Legacy of Superman). You can record movement on set and walk around with your hands and knees, but you can’t talk.
Pratt: I will do Krypto, but you have to pay me in crypto.
Gunn: I will pay you in crypto, equivalent to $0. [laughs]
Pratt: “Looks like there’s going to be a character named Krypton in Superman — breaking news.”

What other characters are reported in Superman: Legacy?
With Krypto confirmation Superman: Legacy, time will tell how many stories he’ll have in the 2025 film. However, Gunn has several rumored and confirmed roles for the film aside from the new Clark Kent. Wherever Superman goes, Lois Lane is never left behind, as the Daily Planet’s celebrity star reporter is unmistakable. Gunn also confirmed that they are also looking for Jimmy Olsen, and this is the first time the Daily Planet photographer has appeared in a DC movie in a while.
