Jamie Foxx had his girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp by his side when he filmed his new commercial for BetMGM.
Kristen Radford Thom, an actor who was on the set of the new commercial as an extra back in July, tells PEOPLE that Foxx, 55, and Huckstepp were together on set for at least one day.
“They seemed comfortable,” says Thom. “[Foxx] he had people around him, but they didn’t surround him or keep him away from the rest of the set, the crew and the actors,” she adds of the actor, whom she said was “amazing to work with.”
Foxx and Huckstepp were first seen together in public in August when they dined with the group at Nobu in Malibu. A source confirmed to PEOPLE that the pair were dating, and were recently spotted together on a trip to Cabo, Mexico.
In May 2022, photos surfaced of Foxx and a woman who looked like Huckstepp making out on a yacht in Cannes, France.

It is unclear how long Foxx and Huckstepp were in a relationship. Prior to his relationship with Hucksteppa, Foxx dated Katie Holmes for six years. He also shares his two daughters, Corrine, 29, and Anelise, 14, with exes Connie Kline and Kristin Grannis.
Thom, an actor who worked on a recent Foxx commercial, says the actor was attentive to everyone on set for the ad, which features him playing the piano while talking about a sports betting app.
“One of my favorite actors, and he was kind and humble and funny — all wrapped up in a ball of energy,” says Thom, adding, “[Foxx] came to our table (we were sitting right behind him while he played the piano) and just opened up to us. As private as he was, he was quite open to our table about his situation without telling us exactly what happened.”

Thom added that Foxx’s ability to improvise while on camera is “unparalleled” as she shared that everyone on set seemed to enjoy interacting with him.
“The whole team laughed at his jokes. He is talented in the most natural way,” he adds.
In July, Foxx shared a photo of himself in Las Vegas filming a commercial for BetMGM, which also served as one of his first public social media posts since being hospitalized in April. The actor has been seen in public several times in recent months, and in August he wrote in an Instagram post that he is “finally starting to feel like me again.”
