Jason Kelce Jokes That He Barely ‘Ran’ After Participating in 5K for Autism: ‘We Had a Blast’

Jason Kelce is mocking himself after devoting his time to a good cause.

The 36-year-old NFL star showed his support for the Eagles Autism Foundation at the 16th annual Mike’s Seafood 5K Run/Walk for Autism on Saturday in New Jersey.

According to Bleach Report, Kelce finished the race in just over 43 minutes.

After completing the 5K, Kelce took to social media to reflect on the charity event. When Fox Sports 5 shared a video of Kelce on X, the news station wrote, “Jason Kelce ran 5K to raise money for autism.”

The Philadelphia Eagles star quoted the original post and wrote, “‘Ran’ ” is a generous word for what happened,” mocking that he mostly walked briskly during the 5K.

“But we had fun,” Kelce added to his X post.

Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are longtime supporters of the Eagles Autism Foundation.

In June, Jason was joined by his brother Travis Kelce at an event that raised $100,000 for charity, according to New York Post. Jason contributed $50,000 at the time, the paper reported.

And in November, Kylie, 31, modeled a kelly green Eagles varsity jacket, which has royal ties, which ended up selling for $100,000 at auction to benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation, according to Philly Voice.

McElhenney, 46, appeared in one episode New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast at the time to discuss his struggles with his wife constantly outbidding for a limited-edition autographed jacket.

“I couldn’t believe that someone jumped right in every time I bid, so my final bid was to represent my favorite Eagles player, 62. [$62,000]I thought that was a good number,” McElhenney told the Kelce brothers.

“And then I got a text from someone I know who said, ‘I was the one who bid against you, boss.’ And it didn’t cross my mind that this was a possibility, and it turned out that I was living with that person,” he continued, talking about his wife and It’s always sunny costar.

Olson then spoke on the podcast saying, “What’s up?”

Jason responded by saying, “Kaitlin! My God, an inside job!”

“Okay, we live in the same house. This is a foundation that is important to both of us. The jacket looks great on your wife,” Olson told the Philadelphia Eagles center. “Obviously it’s for women. I want that. He doesn’t mention anything about it. I ask myself: ‘What are you doing?’ ”

Ultimately, the couple decided to make a “matching” donation of $100,000 because the money would go to the good cause of the Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation. “We just believe in this organization,” McElhenney said.
