Javed Jaffrey is an Indian actor, voice actor, dancer, comedian, impressionist painter and politician. He came to attention for his role as a villain in the movie “Meri Jung”.

Javed Jeffrey was born on December 4, 1963, in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India (60 years old as of 2023). He attended St. Teresa’s High School, Mumbai, Maharashtra, and pursued Bachelor of Arts (BA) at RD National College, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Jaffrey made his acting debut in 1975 with the film Meri Jung. He played a villain in the film and was widely appreciated by the audience.

He subsequently worked as a presenter on Channel V’s programs “Videocon Flashback” and “Timex Timepass”. Javid also voiced several cartoon characters, including Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Don Carnage. His commentary on Pogo’s Japanese TV show “Takeshi’s Castle” became popular among children and teenagers.

He is the co-founder and judge of India’s first dance reality show ‘Boogie Woogie’.

Jaffrey also conceived, composed and arranged the song “Bombay” from the film Bombay Boys. The song was a huge hit and stayed at number one for six weeks.

In 2008, he voiced the role of Charlie Anna in the animated film “Roadside Romeo”. His performance was highly appreciated. Jaffrey even shared the stage with singer and dancer Michael Jackson.

Javed was awarded the Lifetime Membership of the International Film and Television Club of the Asian Film and Television Academy. He is also the brand ambassador of India’s first International Animation and Cartoon Film Festival.

In March 2014, Javed joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and contested the general election from the Lucknow constituency. He finished fifth in the election with 41,429 votes.
