After finishing school, Jay Kenneth Johnson sought a career as a performer. His first attempt was in 1965. He tried his hand at the role of Brady Black in the American soap opera Days of Our Lives. He was cast as Phillip Kiriakis instead. Jay returned to him in 2007 after a five-year absence and left in 2011. Meanwhile, it was claimed that he would return to the program in 2020.
