NTA releases important notification for Tamil Nadu candidates
JEE Main 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important notification for candidates who are residents of Tamil Nadu and have passed class 10, 12 in 2021. According to the notification, ‘no exams have been conducted for the 2021 series of class 10 in Tamil Nadu , therefore no marks were given on the mark sheet and ‘pass’ was written in all subjects with a disclaimer – “According to GO (Ms) no. 48, Department of School Education (GE) dated: 25 February 2021, all candidates who studied SSLC in the academic year 2020-21 are declared to have passed.’
To support them, NTA has decided that while filling the JEE Main application form, when the candidate selects ‘transition year’ as 2021 with ‘School Board’ as Tamilnadu State Board of School Examination (Secondary), the mode field will be disabled and associated marks/CGPA fields will be invisible to Tamilnadu State Board candidates.
What if candidates have already completed JEE 2024 Main Registration?
According to the published notification, for those candidates who have already filled the application form, with the last year 2021, School Board as Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination (Sec.) and paid the fee, the same rule will be applied i.e. mode of result field bit will be disabled and the Total Marks, Marks Obtained, Marks Percentage fields will remain invisible in the JEE Main 2024 application.

What are the documents required for JEE Mains 2024 application form?
Candidates must have the following information and scanned copies of documents ready when they start filling the JEE Main Application Form:
- Email ID and Mobile Number: To receive confirmation and verification messages from NTA
- Grades 10 and 12, passing certificates
- Aadhar card details
- Scanned photo
- Scanned signature
- Scanned copy of category certificate (if any)
- Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if any)
- Details for payment of application fee using net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI
