Jenna Bush Hager Says Her 4-Year-Old Son Hal Still Sleeps In His Crib: ‘It’s Normal, Right?’

Jenna Bush Hager is having a hard time giving up her son’s childhood years.

As I chat with co-host Hod Kotb, 59, on Thursday’s episode of the show Today with Hoda and JennaBush Hager, 41, discovered her 4-year-old son, Hal, was still sleeping in his crib.

“Hal is still in his crib,” said the mom of three. “Do I have to evict him at some point?”

“How old is he?” Kotb asked, to which Bush Hager said, “4.”

Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb joke they ‘ruined’ their firstborn by ‘floating’: ‘We apologize’

“Okay, but being 4 years old and in a crib…” Kotb began.

“Okay, but everyone, that’s normal, right?” Bush Hager asked the audience, to which they responded with no.

“What! I didn’t even ask you! I asked them,” she joked, referring to the domestic viewers. “It’s normal to have a four-year-old, your last child, nice in his crib where he feels safe, isn’t it?”

“But how does he get up to go to the bathroom?” Kotb asked.

“You don’t have to,” Bush Hager replied. “But if he ever had an accident, it happened in his crib.”

“Fine, but does he like it? Did you ask him if he wanted out?” Kotb asked.

“Yeah, I’m ready to move him, but he doesn’t want to,” Bush Hager said.

“I said, ‘Do you want to maybe move…maybe we should try to talk about maybe moving you into your bed next week.’ And he said, ‘Not this Christmas, but next Christmas,'” Bush Hager continued, mimicking her son’s voice. “He wants to be a kid in kindergarten in his crib.”

“Either way. To each his own,” Bush Hager concluded as Kotb laughed.
