Jennie Garth Calls Shannen Doherty's Omission from During Oscars Tribute 'Messed Up' 

Jennie Garth disagree with the decision of Oscar 2025 to omit Shannen Doherty of Memoriam Tribute.

Garth, 52, asked about Doherty’s omission from the In Memoriam segment while he was in New York, posted on Video TMZ on Wednesday, March 5th on X.

“Yes, that messed up,” Garth replied.

Asked if the Academy of Film and Science should “apologize, Garth agreed.

While Doherty’s image was not involved in broadcasting, it was included in the Memoriam data based on the Academy website.

Garth and Doherty played as Kelly Taylor and Walsh brand, respectively, in the 1990 drama Beverly Hills, 90210.

On Sunday, March 2, after broadcasting the segment, Doherty’s representative said that the actress, who worked in Hollywood for 45 years, was not involved in TMZ.

Doherty’s career began in 1982 with roles in Voyagers! and Father Murphy. Although Spellbound Star was better known for her TV work, she starred in several movies, including Peret and Market.

Doherty died in July 2024, after years of life with cancer. She was 53 years old. In 2015, the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time, and she spoke openly to the people in November 2023. She has expanded to her bones about her breast cancer in phase 4.

Garth was among many Kostari and friends who paid tribute to Doherty after her death. She announced her Instagram tribute to her ex -Kostar, remembering their “relationship” outside the spotlight.

Garth also talked about Doherty’s death on her I choose me with Jennie Garth Podcast, saying that he felt like someone had hit me in the stomach “after hearing the news.

The omission of Trachtenberg followed four days after the sudden death on February 26. She was 39. Todd was 69 when he died on November 6, 2024. Both were included as part of the Memoriam database on the Academy website.

The in memoriam segment began with a short introduction to Morgan Freeman, who pointed out late talents like Gene Hackman and James Earl Jones. Hackman and his wife Betsy Hackman discovered dead on February 26.

Shelley Duvall, Donald Sutherland, Maggie Smith, David Lynch, Gene Rowlands, Jeff Baena and Bob Newhart were also among those honored during the emotional segment at the 97th of the Academy.
