Jennifer Coolidge Reacts to Tanya's Ex-Husband Returning in The White Lotus Season 3: 'I Hope He Gets It!'

Jennifer Coolidge thinks Jon Gries’ White lotus The character has what comes to him!

The actress, 63, responded to the latest meal of the anthological series Mike White and Gries’ Surprise Cameo in the first episode.

In the previous seasons of White lotusCoolidge became a fan for her role by Tanya Mcquoid. In the second season, her character who was willing to encounter her decay as she returned against her husband Greg (Gries) in the course of a conspiracy to kill her and escape with her wealth.

Her famous line: “Please, these gays are trying to kill me,” she led to thousands of mem and internet recreation, making him one of the most famous moments of the show.

“As you know, Jon Gries appeared,” Coolidge said Forbes from season 3. “I hope he gets it! I hope he will do something terrible to him.”

She said about the new war, “It’s really creepy – you’re not sure what people are still doing. My guess? Something will go wrong. I think she’ll really go wrong. Mike White, he wants us to have it all, I mean. I can’t wait.”

Fans were disappointed when Season 2 ended in Tanya’s death, hoping she would see her more in the future. But in 2023, Coolidge said that the premature death of her character was always part of White’s plan.

“Mike sought a large Italian opera that ended and was great and dramatic,” she explained. “So, he wanted me to die for many reasons.”

“But I also think it’s a lot,” she continued, she joked, “Maybe people would get sick of her in the second season. Maybe people would be like,” Oh my God, get rid of Tanye! ”
