In November, Berk announced that season eight would be his final Queer Eye ion in a candid Instagram post.
“The love I have received from you over the last 6 years has been absolutely surreal,” he wrote alongside a series of photos. “You pitched in and were devoted fans and together we were able to share the healing powers of design. I learned about kindness, love and acceptance from you and it changed my life for the better.”
He continued, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce that Season 8 will be my last season on Queer Eye. It was not an easy decision to be at peace, but a necessary one. Although my journey with Queer Eye is over, my journey with you is not. You’ll be seeing more of me very soon.”

Despite her decision to leave the show, Berk has nothing against her co-stars, according to a source close to the situation
“Bobby’s departure is not related to relations with his colleagues. The parting was amicable,” a source told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.
A source confirmed that Berk “has a handful of projects in development and is also busy with his company.”
Berk cleared up rumors about his relationship with his co-stars vanity fair interview earlier this month.
During the conversation, he opened up about the alleged fight with his co-star Tan France.
“I hope this interview helps quell some of the speculation,” Berk said. “I want people to know that Tan and I will be fine.” Although he made light of the “situation”, he said the two had moved past the problem.

“Tan and I had a moment. A situation happened, between Tan and me, and it has nothing to do with the show. It was something personal that was brewing – and nothing romantic, just to be clear.”
“Should I have stopped following Tan? No,” Berk continued. “Maybe I should have just shut him up. But that day I was angry and that’s the end of it. We became like siblings – and siblings will always fight.”
On his choice not to sign additional seasons like his colleagues, he said: “There were definitely emotions. But each of us had our own reasons for doing what we did,” he said. “I can’t be mad—for a moment I was.”
