The married ex-footballer, 41, was sacked by the BBC and axed from his teatime show, alongside Match Of The Day, following complaints of “inappropriate behaviour”.

Now the odds are being raised on who will replace Jermaine on The One Show and they include the famous BB star, Olympic icon and Morning Live host.

According to BetIdeas, Rylan Clark is the favorite to replace Jermaine at odds of 9/2.

The star, who originally rose to fame on The X Factor in 2012, has built a successful career as a presenter following a singing competition and subsequent appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.

He landed a job hosting Big Brother’s Big Brother celebrity show Bit On The Side, before presenting Supermarket Sweep and co-hosting Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two and commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest.
