Jessica Chastain looks chic in Spain!

The Molly’s game actress, 46, was at the 71st San Sebastián International Film Festival on Wednesday to promote her new film, Memorydrama also starring Peter Sarsgaard and Merritt Wever.

The mum-of-two made a stunning entrance to the annual festival held at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, located in the picturesque Basque town.

Chastain’s strapless Gucci dress featured a sweetheart neckline and dazzling layers of blue and white sequins. She paired her look with gold Aquazzura platform heels and wore her long hair down as she snapped selfies with fans.

Joining Chastain at the event was Memory directed by Michael Franco. The new drama — which Franco also wrote and produced — follows Sylvia (Chastain), a social worker who lives a simple life with her daughter until an encounter with a former classmate has far-reaching consequences for both of them, according to the film’s official synopsis.

Franco and Chastain recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival for promotion Memory. At the event, Franco told IndieWire that some Hollywood industry insiders hinted that Chastain might be difficult to work with after she won the 2022 Best Actress Oscar. Tammy Faye’s eyes.

The 44-year-old director, who hails from Mexico City, recalled telling the newspaper that Chastain “could show up and be a nightmare and be a diva” after she won the Oscar.

“I told them, you don’t even know the half of it. She is the opposite. She will emerge satisfied, happy and productive,” he said.

But Chastain – who has a son and daughter, Guilietta and Augustus, with husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, 41, told the film industry website that nothing could be further from the truth.

“I’m not making a movie to be pampered. If I want to be pampered, I’ll go to the spa. I’m making a movie to work and be creative and not have to sit alone in a trailer,” she said.

IN Memory, Memo actor Sarsgaard plays Saul, a man who turns Chastain’s character’s ordinary life into a tizzy. “Their sudden encounter will have a profound effect on both of them as they open doors to the past,” the synopsis adds.

Tracking MemoryPremiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival in early September, Sarsgaard was presented with the award for Best Actor.
