Tragedy struck in October 2006 when a plane crash claimed the life of Jimmie’s youngest son, Chad DeRamus, and injured Peggy and Chad’s wife. The incident occurred when the pilot made an emergency landing due to engine failure, but unfortunately, the plane collided with trees before coming to a stop.
In January 2012, “Cajun Pawn Stars” premiered on the History Channel, portraying Jimmie DeRamus and his family as they operated a pawn shop.
