According to various sources, Joan is now worth a staggering £50 million. Joan has been able to earn such a successful amount through her work throughout the decades including roles in films such as 1955’s Land of the Pharaohs, Esther and the King in 1960, Empire of the Ants (1970) and her 1980s starring role in the soap opera Dynasty.

How much did Joan Collins make per episode of Dynasty?

Speaking on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories in June 2021, Joan revealed that when she joined Dynasty, she earned $15k per episode. However, her comments came as she shared her frustration that her co-star John Forsythe was earning around $10-15k extra per episode. “I didn’t like him,” she admitted, suggesting the actor and the whole production were “misogynistic” for letting him have it “in his contract that he always had to have $5k an episode more than anybody else in the cast.”

After starring on the show for several very successful years, Joan eventually made $120k per episode, although she added in the same interview that this led to “a caveat that they’d only put me in half the episodes as [they] couldn’t afford to pay me.” Despite these claims, Joan remained a hugely successful Hollywood earner, and has successfully held on to her fame, fortune and popularity since the show ended in 1989.

On top of her acting career, Joan is also keen writer and has established herself as a successful author, like her late sister Jackie.
