Joan Collins Shares Sweet Toddler Throwback Picture: ‘My Love of a Chic Beret Has Lasted a Lifetime’

Tuesday, Dynasty The alum, 90, shared a post on Instagram showing off her lifelong fashion sense. Collins included two side-by-side photos — a black-and-white photo of her as a toddler in a matching ensemble and a photo today.

“My love for the #chic #beret has lasted #lifelong #hats #kidsfashion #fashion,” the fashion icon wrote.

In the throwback image, Collins is seen smiling for the camera while showing off a bright jacket and pants. Collins completed his look with a knitted beret and bright flat raincoats.

Today’s photo shows Collins modeling a black ensemble that includes a Chanel scarf. The Golden Globe winner paired the fashion accessory with a long-sleeved black shirt and an oversized black and white gingham beret. Collins accessorized with a large silver pendant necklace, several silver bracelets, a pair of gold diamond earrings and her gold diamond wedding ring.

Collins recently published her memoirs Behind the shoulder: Stories I tell my friends. Following the book’s release, Collins told PEOPLE that she remains a fan Dynasty character, Alexis Carrington Colby, but she rejects the common reference to Alexis as a “bitch”.

Collins said she was never comfortable with that word.

“I think it’s a misogynistic word,” she said earlier this month. “I’ve never accepted that. It’s a catch-all word that I think is quite cruel.”

“I happen to think that Alexis was a very vulnerable and sad person. Because Blake Carrington, who was the killer, drove her away from her children. You know?” Collins continued.

“It was never mentioned that Alexis Carrington might have become a bitch because of the way she was treated, while she was also extremely funny and had great, great dialogue, and she was a big badass in terms of what she accomplished,” the actress said. for PEOPLE.
