While in St James’ Park, he immediately contacted the police who rushed to the address in Northumberland shortly after 7.30pm.

By the time officers arrived at the multi-million pound home, the attackers had fled.

It is believed that no one was in the property when the attackers carried out the attack.

No one has been arrested, and the investigation into the raid on the 27-year-old’s home is ongoing.

The Sun revealed last month that Jack Grealish’s terrified family hit the panic buttons as a gang of burglars ransacked his new home.

About a dozen relatives were cheering on the Manchester City star in his televised match against Everton when they heard noise upstairs and frantic dogs barking.

Despite extensive security and a fence around Jack’s lavish home, the crooks got in and made off with £1 million worth of watches and jewellery.

Just weeks before, West Ham star Kurt Zouma’s family home in Essex had been targeted while he was inside.

The robbers also stole jewelery and expensive watches worth £1m – and Zouma was forced to miss his team’s game against Crystal Palace.

A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “Just before 7.30pm yesterday police received a call from a concerned homeowner who reported that three men were at their home in Darras Hall.

“Fortunately, the homeowner was not home but received a security alert on his phone and immediately reported his concerns to the police.

“The police were deployed to the scene, but those who are suspected to have participated fled the scene.

“Inquiries are ongoing and we ask anyone with information to contact us via 101 or the ‘Report’ page on our website, quoting log NP-20240113-0835.”
