Joey Graziadei Confesses a 'Real Fear' His Bachelor Journey Won't 'End with My Forever Person' (Exclusive)

“I just want someone who is really excited to share our lives together and excited for me,” the “Bachelor” Season 28 host tells PEOPLE exclusively

Like the 28th season Bachelor kicks off, headliner Joey Graziadei opens up about his expectations.

Graziadei, 28, was Charity Lawson’s season runner-up Bachelor. But now he has to manage on the other side.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, he said that while he is excited and hopeful for his journey, he also wants to be realistic.

“My biggest worry is just, honestly, that I didn’t make the right decision or find the right person, or maybe just end up in a way that doesn’t end up with my forever person,” he admits. “Honestly, that’s my real fear.”

Having been on the show before, Graziadei says he knows a lot of things to look forward to, like traveling and getting time to meet the women one-on-one. He says Charity has done a good job of “talking on purpose,” which is something he wants to adopt.

“When you talked to her from my side, she always seemed very invested and interested in getting to know you, and that allows other people to open up and feel more comfortable,” he explains. “For me, that’s the biggest thing I took away from what I learned from her. She was just very intentional about making everyone feel comfortable and open, so if I have even an ounce of that, I’ll be grateful for it.”

Just two weeks into the season, Graziadei says he has a clear idea of what he’s looking for in a woman, but he also remembers to keep an open mind.

“[I want] someone who’s funny, honest, definitely successful in his own way, just seems to have a sense of poise,” he says. “I could list so many characteristics, but I also say a lot, I just feel like I’ll just know, and there’s going to be some kind of energy or intangible that I can’t even explain.”

She adds: “I just want someone who’s really excited to share our lives together, and excited for me.”
