John Corbett Wears His Much Memed And Just Like That… Jacket on Real-Life Date Night with Wife Bo Derek

John Corbett is not ready to retire his icon And just like that… jacket just more.

On January 10, the 62-year-old actor who plays Aidan Shaw in Beloved Sex and the city franchise came out on Lords of the air premiered in its well-known “Trailmaster” jacket. The same is the best in the 2nd season of the reboot of the hit series And just like that… when reuniting with former love Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker).

The jacket retails for $595 and features a plaid flannel lining.

Corbett walked the carpet next to his wife, Bo Derek. The couple, who quietly tied the knot in 2020, were among the guests at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, California on Wednesday night to celebrate the premiere of the upcoming Apple TV+ historical drama.

The duo surprised guests when they arrived at the event as they were among a select few who were not part of the show’s cast or crew. Derek, 67, was casually dressed in a white top teamed with a black blazer and matching black trousers as Corbett proudly posed next to her in his relaxed fit.

And this isn’t the first time Corbet has worn a jacket off-screen.

Last August, He’s not skinny, but he’s not fat either Podcast host Amanda Hirsch also pointed out that Corbett wore an incredibly similar design on the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiere in 2016

Hirsch shared a photo of Corbett wearing the jacket on her Instagram Story right after she shared a photo of Aidan wearing (the same?) jacket on the show. He even wore it with what appeared to be his red carpet uniform: black skinny jeans and Chelsea boots.

To get to the bottom of this fashion mystery, PEOPLE reached out to her AJLT costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago, who run the Instagram account @andjustlikethatcostumes.

“[John Corbett] he previously owned a Belstaff and suggested it as his only performance jacket,” Rogers told PEOPLE. “He felt like it was a classic silhouette and had a cool vibe, but it wasn’t trendy, because he didn’t want to be in a traditional outfit. ”

The expensive but unobtrusive piece is representative of Aidan 2.0 (or actually 3.0 for diehards SATC fans remember the character’s brilliance when he returned in Season 4), who sold his furniture company to West Elm “for a pretty penny,” as Bradshaw says on the show. He’s more polished now, but because he travels a lot for work, he wants to be comfortable, Rogers said of her approach to dressing the character.

“He’s the biggest ‘hidden asset’ in the show,” Rogers said. “[He’ll wear] a cashmere pullover, but not showy at all. There are no visible markings.”
