John Legend Says Chrissy Teigen Wound Up in Neck Brace Trying to Be an ‘Acrobat’ Like Daughter Luna

John Legend details Chrissy Teigen’s neck injury.

Speaking with Party tonight in a live episode Vote On May 13, Legend, 45, revealed that his wife, 38, ended up in a neck brace after trying to imitate the “acrobat” skills of their 8-year-old daughter, Luna Simone.

“She hurt her neck trying to be, like, an acrobat — which she’s not,” Legend said. “Sometimes she’s bold and will try things.”

“I think she might have been watching Luna too much,” explained Legend — who also shares son Miles Theodore, 5, daughter Esti Maxine, 16 months, and son Wren Alexander, 10 months, with Teigen.

“[Luna has] did like real gymnastics. But [Chrissy] it occurred to her that she might try this and it wasn’t a good idea,” he continued.

However, assuring fans that his wife is fine, the “All Of Me” singer added: “She’s much better now.”

Teigen first sparked concern on May 6 when she shared photos of herself wearing a neck brace on her Instagram Stories.

“@ the MET!,” she captioned the video at the time, marking the day of the 2024 Met Gala.

She then told her followers that her injury isn’t as bad as it looks, saying: “I’m fine. I’m fine.”

“It’s a CVS neck brace,” she said. “I just can’t turn my neck because I tried to do a headstand and it didn’t go well. That’s all.”

“No story, I promise,” she added, before revealing that she never intended to go to the Met Gala.

“That’s not why I’m not at the Met,” Teigen said. “I never went to the Met this year. I pray.”
